The Delta FLW EverStart champion Brian Carpenter kicked off his Clear Lake pre fish with the big one shown here this weekend.
He reported his biggest at 12-lbs. He got her about noon in 6- to 8-feet of water on a swimbait using a Powell 764 rod with Seaguar 20# fluorocarbon.
He is catching a lot of fish; but of course this was the biggest. Although he caught this one a swimbait, he said he felt the swimbait bite was tailing off and the umbrella rig could play a major factor in this week's FLW EverStart.
