To answer some of the questions frequently asked regarding the format of the Yamamoto Big Bass Challenge venue please take note of the following:
- You may register for the event the morning of the event at Russo’s Marina – beginning at 4am
- EVERYONE must check-in even if you have pre-registered.
- You may launch from anywhere you want, however, EVERYONE must check in (register), and have your live well checked at Russo’s. There will be livewell checking staff at the dock for those that launch from other areas.
- After you have checked in and had your live well checked, you can begin fishing.
- The first hourly weigh-in is at 9am. If you are not at the designated area (will be posted at check in) BEFORE the 9am hour strikes, you will not be able to weigh your fish in that hour. Therefore be at the designated area BEFORE 9am.
- This process will repeat itself every hour on the hour until 2pm. NO FISH will be allowed to be weighed in after 2pm.
- IMPORTANT: Please remember that when you make the decision to step onto the dock at Russo’s Marina, with fish in the bag, to weigh your fish for that hour, you WILL NOT be allowed to go back to your boat and put that fish back into your livewell. So be careful on the decisions you make!
If for whatever reason you are not at the designated area before the hour expires, you must surrender your fish to the designated tournament staff and it will be immediately returned to the water.
This is being done to safeguard the health of the fish, as we do not want fish to remain in bags longer than is permitted by DFG requirements and regulations. So...BE ON TIME!
