Thank you all for your kind words.

I know all of you folks here on this forum would have done the same thing.

I truely belive God put us right where he wanted us. We went in to autopilot and did was needed.

There was another couple that were fishing the couples tourny out of B&W that knew John and Mary and were extreamly helpful when we got to the marina, They got the tourny orginazition to over securing the Basscat and property. I lost their phone number.

Go fishing, but plan to return, Wear it California!

Hey, I'm the guy in the club you met at the pirates lair when you brought Tony and Mary in. First of all, as a friend of Tony and Mary. thank you, I like these people alot, and I cant thank you enough. I could only hope everyone had a keen sense of eyesight and comon sense that you guys did. There is no telling how this could have played out if you guys werent there when you were. My wife Kelly and I hope to run into you both soon, under better circumstances, and yes, beers on me. :D

This is members of the Great Basin Bassers from Reno. You have our heartfelt thanks for saving two people who are very special to us. We can not thank you enough for your foresight and calmness in assessing the situation and doing what was required. You and your partner showed the true spirit of the Bass Fishing community.

Both Mary and Toni are in the Lodi Hospital. Mary has 8 fractured ribs and Toni has a fractured pelvis. With out your swift action, life jackets and kill switch they would not have survived this.

Again you have our heartfelt thanks!

Ouch--to say it was a harrowing experience would be an understatement!

But now that the dust has settled and we know your fellow club members are on the road to recovery, were you able to find out what caused their ejection from the boat in the first place?

Way to go, guys! You were handed a tough situation and you made all the right decisions, resulting in two very fortunate survivors.

Those people were so lucky to be found. A personal beacon or strobe light could have made it much easier for them to be found http://www.survivaledge.com/Guardian-Sa ... -001-m.htm
The longer you are in the water the chances of your survival decrease.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the nice comments from myself Vic (Fly'in V) and my good buddy Mark (Hipster). We were ask to re-tell our story on Kent Brown's show the following week. Kent and the Cal Boating folks prsented us with a new Inflatable PFD, and yes I wear it all the time.

Be safe, have fun and catch fish.

Hey, anybody got an open back seat?
