Looks like we are going to have the 1st West Coast Bass Cat Owners Tournament, August 25th & 26th on the Delta, out of Russo's Marina.
Should be a great event!!!! Cant wait...
The permits have not been pulled as of yet. Basscat themselves are putting the event on. It is scheduled for the weekend of August 25/26th.
Steve Molina and Chad Hickock will be the contacts.
I will post more when they get the permits approved.
OHHHHHHHHHHH YEA BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I wont have to fish that Ranger owners tournament. On second thought I think I will fish it again this year I LOVE TAKING RANGER OWNERS MONEY!!!!!
The First Annual West Coast Bass Cat Owners Invitational is official. We got word today from the California DFG our permit is approved. We will be out of Russo's Marina on Bethel Island in the California Delta. Check out our webpage at http://www.facebook.com/westcoastbassca ... vitational. The tournament will be on 25 and 26 August 2012. If you don't have facebook send me a PM or an email at WCBCOI@gmail.com. We will get all the information we can to you. Preregistration will start ASAP when SteveM and myself can get the forms and rules ironed out this weekend. The final cost has yet to be determined, whatever the entry what's left after paying for the event will be 100% payback. We are looking forward to getting the Bass Cat Pride on the Delta.
The Pierce family have always been class act and build great boats. I got to spend some time with both Ron and Rick at the recent Classic. Will either of them be at the event? Long ways with their busy schedule for sure, but if they make it, I'd like to come down and say hi.
Hey all, I just want to clear something up. This is NOT being put on by BassCat Boats. It is something that Steve and I decided to actually pull the trigger on. Rick Pierce and Ivan Williams completely endorse the event, however due to other commitments can't be part of the planning of the event. Mainly this is something we are putting on to get Bass Cat Owners like ourselves together out here on the West Coast. I just moved back to California after three years in Virginia. When you come up other than the fact Steve and I will be directing, you will know my PIV because it will be the only one with VA registration on it.
There has been one change to the event, and that is the 25th was taken away by DFG. We are still a go for Sunday the 26th of August and will still have some activities on Saturday the 25th, but it will not be a tournament day. We will have a BBQ and possibly some seminars from local guides and Pros in the Delta Area. I spoke to Ivan today and he is working to have their clothing department send some shirts, hats and other prizes (not finalized yet so I can't say what).
Rules and Entry Form will be finalized this evening and posted both here and our Facebook Page. Thanks all for your interest and we hope to meet you all up there.
Hey all, registration forms are complete! Until I find out how to get a PDF online, please email us at WCBCOI@gmail.com and we will get it out to you. If you know a way to get a PDF on one of these forums or FB please let us know. I have no issues saying I am not the most computer savvy.
Hey guys this is awesome news. Nice to see you put this thing together. I've been with Basscat Boats since 1998, and they are the greatest people to work for and be asssociated with. Once this gets started it's just a matter of time til it's an annual event with bigger and better things to come. It's a long haul for those guys to make it out, but I know the first chance they get that they will support it whole heartedly. I encourage everyone to pass the word and let's make this a rockin turnout. I'll be callin all my buddies!! I'll definitley see y'all there!!

Bring her up! I am going to have both my 3 yr old and 5 yr old there. With the shortened days from the DFG regulations I plan on having some good family time out on the water.
Just a heads up. We have received confirmation that Bobby Barrack will be speaking at our event at Russo's on Saturday. This thing keeps getting better and better!
Not a BassCat owner but I'll be up there for surport or if someone needs a backseattier I'll have couple rods handy and am allways ready to fish. I'm riding up with Steve Molina he can't fish that day, he has to many things to do.
I have signed up with my partner who also has a Bass Cat and hoping a lot of guys show up. Not a lot have pre signed up but have seen where a number of guys have indicated they didn't pre sign but will definitely be there on Sunday Aug. 26th for sure. See you all there............
Yes, by all means you can register either Saturday or Sunday. There will be plenty of room at the BBQ so feel free to join in even if you haven't preregistered. The deadline was to ensure Steve and I didn't get stuck with $500 of food with noone to eat it. Not going to happen now. The more the merrier!
Yes, you can. Pre signups as well as on AM of the tournament day, Sunday Aug. 26th or at the Sat. Aug. 25th BBQ and activities day. Hope to see you there?
