Richmond, CA – July 25, 2012 - River2Sea, in conjunction with Anglers Press, is pleased to announce the inaugural River2Sea Open fishing tournament, to be held on the California Delta, September 8 - 9, 2012 at Ladd's Marina in Stockton, Calif.

The event; which is based on the format that has been so popular with other industry companies in the West for more than 10 years, will give anglers a chance to compete on the West's best waterways, using River2Sea's premium products.

The River2Sea Open will be a two-day event that will have anglers fishing the afternoon tide on the first day, then fish the opposite tide on the second day. This gives the anglers a chance to fish both the incoming and outgoing tides. The event will carry a three bass daily limit.

Anglers will be able to use any of the baits or terminal tackle that River2Sea produces, but will allow anglers to use their favorite soft plastics, as long as they are used with a River2Sea tungsten weight or one of our hand tied jigs as a trailer.

K.K. Chan, CEO of River2Sea said that planning this event has been focused on giving back to the angler, and giving them more for their money; a principle that drives River2Sea in their product development process. "River2Sea has always worked hard to make sure the anglers of the world had lures that they had confidence in, and got for a great value" said Chan. "The anglers are why this company does what we do, and this event is a way for us to give something back to them and come together to celebrate our growing brand. We are excited about it, and looking forward to sharing it with everyone."

The River2Sea Open will be a $150 team entry fee along with a $20 big fish option. Anglers will love the fact that the event features a 90-percent payback of the entry fees and 100-percent payback of big fish options. The event will also have a bonus prize for the event's largest legal striped bass weighed-in.

Anglers will be treated to a free barbeque after the second day weigh-in, courtesy of Stockton, Calif. outdoor retailer Outdoor Sportsman. River2Sea will be hosting a huge raffle on the second day of the event as well. Anglers will receive a free raffle ticket in exchange for each package of River2Sea product they turn in at the on-site registration.

In addition to the prizes and event festivities, anglers 18 and older who register for the River2Sea Open by August 31 will be entered into a drawing for a day on the water with River2Sea pro staffer and Bassmaster Elite Series pro Ish Monroe on the California Delta. Any angler who registers for the event will receive a free pack of River2Sea Stand'n Yabbies or Live Eye Bottom Walker swimbaits.

The flyer and event entry form can be found at http://www.anglerspress.com, and details can be found at http://www.river2seausa.com.
