Re: Lake Havasu Amature Series
There goes the boat count at Havasu! Such a shame. All these rookie circuits to get rid of 2 or 3 teams at each lake. Makes no sense, but have fun.

Re: Lake Havasu Amature Series
Actually this has nothing to do with any certain teams. It has to do with offering the fisherman something different that other circuits don't do. If this was about certain teams then I would not have a pro team event with the same type format and I would not offer a central Arizona region of the Amature series. Oh and incase you haven't noticed boat counts have been declining on the river for the last few years.

Damn lil bailey you sure seem to be a hater on here anymore. He's trying to get a circuit together where your not competing against full time bass guys. "Every time" there is a team tourney on Havasu I can get 90% + accuracy of which teams will be in the top 5, EVERY TIME. My wife and I love to fish competitively at Havasu but do not or limit our tourneys there for that same reason, we're donating most the time. And I know there are other teams out there that feel the same way. Now if they somehow came up with a handicap system for these tourneys, as in golf, then we talk bass....OR go back to Mead, Mohave, Havasu circuits then that would even it out. But that won't happen any time soon.

You know what...I have to agree with Paul on this one...littlebailey wrote:There goes the boat count at Havasu! Such a shame. All these rookie circuits to get rid of 2 or 3 teams at each lake. Makes no sense, but have fun.![]()
the rookie leagues do cut down a LOT on the normal team derbies.

Re: Lake Havasu Amature Series
Well it does state an ametuer series, not rookie and is there a difference? I like the idea of handicaping teams, based on past performance just like they do in golf. That way an ametuer or rookie team has chance of cashing a check against these pro teams. You can also have a net and gross division options. But then again there is something wrong with that concept....
Re: Lake Havasu Amature Series
In my 12 years of tournament fishing I have met many more Amatuers than professionals
If you lower the entry fee enough and spread out the money, the so called "pro's" wont bother showing up becuase the risk to reward ratio won't be good enough for them to even enter.

i dont think we need to drop the entry fees much but at least spread it out a hair would be nice..so its not so top heavy!

Re: Lake Havasu Amature Series
Due to the overwhelming response that we have had to the new Weekend Warrior Bass Series we have decided that the WWBS will have a year end championship. The championship for this series will alternate lakes each year. This first season the championship will be held on Lake Havasu in September of 2013.
There are two ways to qualify for the WWBS Championship:
Fish a minimum of 5 tournaments in one region and finish in the top 50% in points based off of the average participation for the season in that region.
Fish 7 events total regardless of the region throughout the season.
See www.jmloutdoors.com for complete schedules and rules.
