My trolling motor batteries are almost 3 years old and not lasting all day. I checked one of them so far and the water is low. If I add water (distilled) and brought the level back to "normal" will this help the batteries to last longer or should I just get new ones? The charger seems to be OK as the green lights come on after a days use and overnight charge.

you alway need to keep the plates covered w/ water. best bet is get them tested. if you look at the plates and you see build up, probly time for new batteries.
Never argue with an idiot; He'll beat you to death with stupidity.
I AM NOT SAYING THERE SHOULD BE CAPITAL PUNISHMENT FOR STUPIDITY,
BUT, WHY DON'T WE JUST TAKE THE SAFETY LABELS OFF OF EVERYTHING
AND LET THE PROBLEM SOLVE ITSELF?"
