BATTERIES

Post by DG »

My trolling motor batteries are almost 3 years old and not lasting all day. :( :( I checked one of them so far and the water is low. If I add water (distilled) and brought the level back to "normal" will this help the batteries to last longer or should I just get new ones? The charger seems to be OK as the green lights come on after a days use and overnight charge.

you alway need to keep the plates covered w/ water. best bet is get them tested. if you look at the plates and you see build up, probly time for new batteries.

BUT, WHY DON'T WE JUST TAKE THE SAFETY LABELS OFF OF EVERYTHING
AND LET THE PROBLEM SOLVE ITSELF?"

D.G If you go out and your batteries only last you half a day or less fully charged it is time for a new one your batteries are 3 years old. You can go to Wall mart and buy the everstart maxx group 27 for $99 each 3 year free replacement keep your receipt
