How many boats did the AC tourny you ran get? The same day at the same time as the rookie. Talk about finishing off pro team tournies. That was the last lake you could get a decent draw and have a chance to pay for your trip. Whos going to be the first to start the pre rookie teams? For everyone who can cast but doesnt want to practice? Its coming soon i promise.

Well since I am sure you are really concerned rather than just trying to start/talk crap like you usually do on this site there were only 5 boats. Justin Kerr and Gunnar Stanton won with 20.93, Roy Hawk and Mark White had second with 20.84 and Shaun Bailey and Billy Skinner got 3rd with another 20lb bag. Great bags of fish for all of those guys. Justin and Gunnar got over $600 with just 5 boats.
As far as you and your pot stirring post regarding the Weekend Warrior Bass Series this isn't the first time you have stirred this pot. I would think guys like you would be happy about this series. It provides a stepping stone for guys from club level events up to the Pro-Team level. Believe it or not there are guys that actually have full time jobs, families, and other commitments that prevent them from practicing multiple days and in some cases even one day. These are the guys that are tired of competing against the full time pro's. Don't get me wrong if guys want to make a living team fishing that is your/their choice. Majority of the guys that fish team events though are the guys that just like to go fish and have a chance to compete.
Amatuer circuits like the WWBS and others are what is going to grow the fishing industry. There are a lot more Amatuer teams than Pro teams. As I am sure you are aware the fishing industry is a multi billion dollar a year industry. Do you really believe that the majority of tackle, rods, reels, line, etc. comes from the Pro Teams? Out of the two Havasu region events and one Central Arizona event there has already been over 10 teams that fished their first tournament (other than club level). There is another 5 to 10 teams that had quit fishing tournaments all together that started again because of this series. One of those team members had sold their fishing stuff and had to go buy new equipment so he could start fishing again. I am sure all of your sponsors would be glad to know that you choose to talk down to the amatuer leagues rather than support them.

Re: Weekend Warrior Bass Series Havasu results 11-24-12
so lets hurt the guys that give it 100 percent because most of the people participating only want to give 40. Makes sense huh?
im not saying its not going to grow the sport. what i am saying is that unless its policed in a equal fashion, its not a stepping stone its a final resting place. no structure = nobody has to move up. which means your stepping stone talk is bogus. Mean while the pockets of you the director and the company get fatter from the new blood and they never have to leave. its genius your right. sorry i forgot, if you make x amount of dollars you get to join the big boys and thier five boat tourny1 awesome! sweet incentive.

Paul I don't know you, however I do know Shaun and consider him a friend. There are many of us here in Lake Havasu that work full time plus some, who really enjoy fishing. We can't get out and fish very often because of work and the ecomomy so when we get a chance to go out we can't compete with (our friends) that get to go out basicly on a daily basis. Which I think is a great thing for them. There are many tourneys here in Havasu as you know. So we should be able to have one tourney for us working guys to enjoy and feel like we at least have a chance to compete.

So you think the guy that has a family, a full 40 hour ++ week per job doesn't give it 100% when they do actually get to go out to fish a tournament? It would be great if we could all devote 100% of our lives to fishing team tournaments. Unfortunately for majority of the fishing population that is not possible.littlebailey wrote:so lets hurt the guys that give it 100 percent because most of the people participating only want to give 40. This isn't to take anything away from the guys that do get to fish multiple days in a week. Good for them. This is to get more people involved in fishing in general and if they want some kind of fun team event where they don't have to compete against Pro teams they now have one. If a guy is able to prefish multiple days and devote their lives to fishing then there are lots of places to do that. FLW, BASS, Outdoor Heritage, etc all have great programs. There is your chance to move up. Start with the Amature series on a team level where you can learn with a partner and then move up where you have to do it solo.
By the way. You should have been there Saturday to see the New Ferrari that I bought from loading my pockets running tournaments.
