A chatter bait

Hmmm! Medium light might have a good parabolic bend, suitable for crankbaits.
Try some 12-15 lb flouro on it.

Drop shot, light wire jigs in open water, and a crankbait

Thanks for your answers. I am buying this one along with 2 others. I knew what to do with the others but .this one I was buying thinking I could find a good use for it. I like that dropshot ideal , I'm not much on spinning gear if I can use a casting rod.

Re: What would you use this for if you had one ?
i use mine for "heavier" dropshotting and for "light" carolina rigging.
Re: What would you use this for if you had one ?
I use mine for everything to topwater, texas rigging, spinnerbaits, jerkbaits, and crankbaits, although I use the X-10 more for crankbaits.
If it is the ML rod it may be a little lighter. The M is my all purpose rod except for technique specific heavier rods.
