One more thing from Okeechobee ...

Post by WB Fishing Reports »

Charlie and Kevin didn't mention anything like this in their Okeechobee reports

From FLW Tour pro Jacob Wheeler's FB ...

Look what came out of Lake Okeechobee the other day! Doesn't look like I'm going to be jumping in to be going swimming anytime soon.

I would like to know if anyone from here in California has fished that lake or any of the Lakes or Waters in the South that have Alligators? Are they agressive towards the fishermen or what? How does the person doing the fishing not become a little intimidated by the site of one of those Gators? It is bad enought that we have those damn Seals up here messing up the Fishing but if we had to deal with those things I really wonder what would happen?!?!?
Life is short enjoy each and everyday!

Fished the canals around Palm Beach and i did hook a 18" baby gator as he ate my senko hahaha. Hook came out as i hoisted him on land to deal with the critter. I have fished Big O twice, the second time the water was low exposing some large islands north of of Roland Martin Marina. We saw dozens of gators beached on the shore. They did nothing. We did get close enough to cast and they were unphased by our presence. Not a big deal...
