lightest A-rig set up?

Hello. For you guys throwing the Alabama/umbrella rigs, say 5 wires, what is the lightest weights you've used and still get it to run straight? I'm thinking of its use in a shallower lake and flats but want to minimize risk of snagging bottom.....

Any one using 1/16 oz on the 2 sides and 1/8 oz on the lower wire? Or if you run the long wire directly in the middle, ever put 1/8 oz on the 2 lower and 1/16 oz in the center long wire? Any problems or issues? What has worked best for you? Thanks.

I dont go any lighter then 1/8 oz heads. The bulk of the baits lifts it up off the bottom. As for snagging it just happens. Ive used weighted ewg hooks and to me they kill the action. I stick lightwire jigheads so if i snag i can straighten the hook (i use 60lb braid).

put hitchhikers on teaser wires with no weight, 1/8 to 1/4 on baits with hooks, also some guys are using willow blades with the teasers and it gives a little lift and the blade makes it swim upright right away

If you do this, cut off swivels and replace with split rings or the baits will probably spin.

Here is an option for a light line rig. RoadRunner Shad Buffet Rig. It's less than 4". 1/16 and 1/8 oz. Kramer's new favorite. Shhhsshh

Yes, we have been using 1/8 on the bottom, 1/16 on the sides, and hitch hikers on top for the dummies. Works fine on 15 or 17 lb mono. It has been the lightest one we could come up with. Had to make our own 1/16 oz heads though.
