Volunteer Boats NEEDED for B.A.S.S. College @ Clear Lake

Post by Nick_Barr »

My name is Nick Barr and I'm the President of the Eastern Washington University Sportsman's Club out of Spokane, WA.

We will be fishing the B.A.S.S. College Regional Open on April 6th-7th and have 2 teams that want to compete that do not have boats to bring down. I talked to B.A.S.S. three months ago and they said volunteer boat captains (similar to FLW format) were acceptable and I had 2 volunteer captains w/ boats ready to go. Now I am being told that only competitors may be in boats and NO volunteer captains. So now we have 2 teams that have been planning for months to fish this tournament and now are short boats to use.

 I was hoping to know if anyone would be willing to loan ANY (literally any) kind of fishing boat for our 2 teams to use for those 2 days?
-We would be more than willing to pay to rent the boat, and have insurance through our school's sports program.
-If it helps we are tax deductible and can consider it a donation as well.

 As a last resort, does anyone know of anyone who rents boats at or near Clear Lake?
-I already called Disney but they are closed, going to call them in the AM.

All the help and info is greatly appreciated!!
My contact info is (360) 485-9462 and NickTBarr@Hotmail.com

THANK YOU!!

Disneys doesnt have bass boats that i know of. I drive by everyday and havent seen any. BUT, i have my jet boat i use everyday here. Its a Bass Tracker 185pt jet. 18.5ft. One of the teams is more than welcome to use it that weekend. I dont have anything on my calendar. Live wells work, lights work, and it floats. Carpet is shot and the gas mileage is terrible but it works and I do just fine in it. It isnt a Triton by any means but it works. Find another and your in. Ill call you tomorrow. Too many people have helped me out in the same way and this is my chance to. If BASS lets you run a jet drive? Im not sure. Call Trip and see what he says. Good Luck.

Paul, Thank you so much for your generosity, our club really appreciated it, guys like you are what make our sport great. Unfortunately jet drives are not allowed for the B.A.S.S. Tournaments, so we will not be able to take you up on your offer.

I have not been able to get a hold of Disney, does anyone know when they are open?

All we need is an old beater that runs!

Thank You,
Nick
