Re: FPT @ Clear Lake...results????
A couple of bags over 34#. Took over 26.5# to be in top 10. Big bags caught on Swimbaits, A Rigs, and one bag over 32# all on Jigs. It was a great event. Vince drew over 120 Plus boats. Lots of Giant fish with big fish close to 10#. Lots of 6, 7, and 8#. That place is going off right now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Re: FPT @ Clear Lake...results????
Seems like the FPT results take at least a few days to be put up anywhere. For so much hype put out on all the events on here and other websites, seems like they'd put up the results to such a "coveted" event in a timely manner.

Re: FPT @ Clear Lake...results????
Thanks FT for the detailed reply on CL results from Saturday. Can't wait to fish and revisit this lake, end of the month, after a seven year absent, particularly bringing a friend who has never been on the lake. Jim M.

Re: FPT @ Clear Lake...results????
Bass K You have to understand alot of energy and effort goes into running these events . Alot of us guys had to travel to this one. My son and I drove 3.5 hours one way to fish this event. Plus prefishing then fishing the tournament im sure most us anglers were just wore out as I bet Vince and his staff were. So let everyone rest up and recoop from a GREAT! event. Vince will get the results up soon . Big CUDOS to Vince and his staff everything was ran great! we had a blast! And the BRISKET WAS AWSOME!
My son Colt and I had 5 for almost 17lbs (that would have gotten a check 10 years ago on this lake, its amazing how this lake has turned over the fish are HUGE!!! I dumped a 9+ at the boat, but my son (13yo) backed it up with a 7lbder in the boat
my son won 2nd Jr big fish (proud daddy ) We flipped/dragged Revenge Baits Jigs in P&J on wood in 3-5 ft of water in the south end . Alot of people were throwing the A-Rig and catching em . Its took over 34 lbs to win!

Re: FPT @ Clear Lake...results????
This was my first Future Pro event and can say I was glad I choose to fish this circuit this year.
As for as the tournament goes. The check in was easy and organized. Boat check was easy and getting the lake county check also easy. We were there early so that helped with the rush that I am sure came later with 135 boats. When on the water waiting for the first group, people were nice and did not crowd the area for the first 30 boats. Many time's it seems everyone crowds up close, but not the case. Also while getting ready in the parking lot to launch boat, people were saying hello and good morning. Also after the day people were friendly, saying hello, commenting on boat, talking about their day. For someone new to a circuit and somewhat new to being the front seat person it was nice change from other circuits I have fished.
Being that we were one of the 0 fish caught teams, did not have a chance to experience the weigh in but did stick around to see the operation. 30 boats in each flight is a lot of people to be at those docks but everyone was encourage to get fish ready and ask to come up to weigh in when there was room. Also encourage keep water on the fish after the weigh in process was over.
Someone ask how we did that day and my answer was," we were pre fishing for the next Clear Lake event". Talking and listening as to what people were using we were spot on. The key here is spot. The fish just were not on the spot were we were at. We choose to fish for big fish until late in the day, I guess the slogan go big or go home applied here, huh.
Overall it was a great day to be on the lake, great weather, good company, and meet some nice people.
I grade the overall experience for this Future Pro Tournament : A
As for as were the tournament was held.
The guys and girls at the tackle shop were great, he even took the time to look over the lady"s shoulder at my form and call me by name. I am sure he did not remember me from two weeks ago. Thought that was a nice touch. Grade A+
Launch.
First, for a town that has so many tournaments, I cannot understand why they would let the restrooms get so bad, bad, bad. I understand that it was early morning and the local people might not appreciate the fact that a clean restroom is open all night for their use and just abuse the place. No lights? Crap all over every stall, no paper. If the health department had been called I believe the town would have been issued fines.
Secondly, for a town that host so many tournaments why not invest in some type of bleachers like at Orville. Very hard to see the proceedings when everyone is on the same level. I am sure with almost every hotel room full this past weekend this might not be to much to ask.
Yes, I know economy, economy, economy, I say BS, BS, BS. This place has been hosting tournaments for many years, even during the good economy.
The above is no fault of Future Pro, but the town itself.
I grade the launch: C- They get points for having a lot of ramps and dock space. Otherwise it would be much lower.

Not Paul Bailey. Brian Bailey. No relation just team partners. To clear up all the confusion. The other site chooses to assume instead of looking at the results for themselves, so ill let em.

Re: FPT @ Clear Lake...results????
Just giving some credit where credits do... Great job Future Pro Tour! This event really shows why FPT has been around for 11years. They had an amazing boat draw of over 130boats an from live well inspection to weigh in everything went extremely smooth an thats not an easy accomplishment with that big of a boat draw..Then to top it off with a 100% live release rate with that many boats is Outstanding! And with todays economy everyone wants to make sure that there $$ is well spent so FPT actually lists the PAYOUT & OPTION $$$ data which is nice to see where the money is really going...
Keep up the good work FPT!!
