Elite 5x and Elite 5 DSI question

Hi there,

I currently have a x125 and a elite 5dsi on my trolling motor. about 2 weeks ago my x125 went south showing no display. My question is if I was to replace the x125 with a Elite 5x would I get transducer interference? I also have a HDS 8 on the console.

You will only get interference when you have two transducers emitting the same frequency. A DSI ducer is a 400/800 khz and the 5x is a 200 khz ducer, no interference. If you have the HDS 8 at the console on and the Elite 5x on at the bow, you will have interference. You can change the HDS 8 to 83 khz, this will reduce the interference with the 5x which will be 200 khz.
