STOCKTON, Ca – It’s on! This weekend’s big event the “Delta Summer Shootout - Best of Both Bites" is ready to see a huge field of anglers square off in what will be the most challenging event of the year for Future Pro Tour anglers to date.
The challenge for this regular season two-day event is that anglers will blast off on Saturday at 1pm with a 7pm weigh-in, and on Sunday, from safelight to noon. This gives anglers the opportunity to test their skills at two totally different times of the day – and two different tides!

FPT anglers are never left without a way to receive the help they need in their quests to become true students of the game. To this end, we will host our annual Angler Expo” on Saturday beginning at 10am, at Ladd’s Marina in Stockton, where FPT anglers will get every opportunity to learn something about the late summer/early fall transitional period on the California delta, from noted delta guru and Ranger pro Ken Mah, newly crowned TBF Champion Mark Daniels Jr., and Travis Huckaby, former FPT Navionics Cup Champion, and Angler of the Year who has made some serious noise in professional competition since he moved on from the tour.
The Expo, which will feature a FREE BBQ provided by C&C Marine of Modesto/Citrus Heights, begins at 10am, and is open to EVERYONE, even if you are not a member of FPT or do not fish FPT events. There will also be a FREE raffle for premium products for everyone to win, and the first 100 teams will receive a free pack of Gamakatsu hooks!
