bow downscan?

I just purchased a boat with a HDS7 at the console and I am looking to add a downscan finder for the trolling motor.
Looking at the Elite 7 HDI or 579CI, anyone use either, or any advise??

I'm in the same situation and am pretty set on adding an elite 7 up front. From what I know it will do everything I want and can't go wrong with the price point

Yup Ill be adding the elite 7 just for down scan. You just cant beat that deal. Its about the price of a LSS1 unit and you get the screen. I never used the SI on the TM anyway, just the DI.
