sonar question
I have two Lowrance HDS 7". Cannot figure out for the life of me why I'm sitting in the drivers seat looking at the unit and in this spot about 30-40 feet deep all I see is brush piles all over the place and marking fish on these brush piles. So I move to the front put the trolling motor down and go back and forth in the same direction I was at the drivers seat. I mark NOTHING! No brush no fish...nothing. This whole area had brush after brush all over the place with fish. So why am I seeing stuff on my drivers unit and nothing on the trolling motor. My setting are the same on both units. This is driving me nuts and happens all the time. I know the transducers are in two separate locations but when one is seeing all this brush for yards and the trolling motor is showing flat, I'm mean flat as a pancake. Can someone please help! By the way this was an area of a football field and marked brush and fish in whatever direction I traveled.

Re: sonar question
That's what I was thinking but I checked and it is not in demo mode. Very confused on this.
Re: sonar question
Maybe something is wrong with either the transducers or the unit?

Re: sonar question
do you have downscan/sidescan? can you see this stuff with that system? 18 linear feet (assuming thats the size of your boat) makes a big difference, maybe ur just not on them? I use two graphs- one puck at the bow and one at the stern and routinley see a target on one graph, but not the other.
are you 100% certain that the ping rates, color line, and sensitivity are the same? Are you units in shallow water mode? are you using 83kHz or 200kHz? are both the same?
can you swap your HDS head units and duplicate the symptoms?
stupid question... can u confirm there is "stuff" down there, use an open hook and drag it through? are u feeling a barren waste land or donating lures? I have a lot of experience trouble shooting these things. PM me if you want additional help or have issues. goooooood luuuuuuuck
