Top Stick Tour OPEN event, October 19 Castaic Lake

The Top Stick Tour is holding an OPEN event on October 19 at Castaic Lake. This event is open to ALL anglers wanting to fish. NO MEMBERSHIP is required, and we will feature the 1 in 4 payback that we have used this year. We will go out of the west ramp and details will be posted here and on the Top Stick website as things are finalized.

There is NO membership fee for this event and the entry fee is the same as it is during the regular season, less than half the cost of other team events.

There are NO restrictions to fishing this event. It is open to ANYONE that wishes to participate, no matter how good you are or had bad you are

Took 10+ lbs to win. Big fish I believe was under 3 lbs. 20 teams, great weather, lousy bite. Results will be on the website today, hopefully before lunch. WAter temp still 70 degrees, grass all over the lake, shad all over the lake.

Just a shout. If any of you have a chance to team up with Mike Reyes this season DO IT! A great guy, good fisherman and a pleasure to share a boat with. He and I were both looking for a partner for the top stick tournament so we paired up having never met each other. Ten minutes later I felt like we'd been partners for years.

Hope we have a chance to fish again even though we are geographically challenged.

Michael is good people. We were hoping for better numbers but about half the field were anglers that had not fished the Top Stick Tour before. Which is one of the reasons John put an open together. I dont think the lousy bite for the last two weeks helped either. the first event of the 2014 season is January 25, at Castaic. Hope to see all of the new faces as well as the old, on the 25th.
