As you probably know, we are having a major rally at noon this Friday the 13th at the Capitol. This event will kick start the 120-days of public review of the Environmental Impact Report—a draft that facilitates the construction of the twin tunnels. It is extremely important to show the Governor's office and the media that we will not be bullied by corporate agribusinesses and we want to STOP THE TUNNELS.
We are also having a public press conference in Sacramento on Dec. 9, the same day as our Monday rally in San Jose at the Santa Clara Valley Water District office which starts at 9am. If you live near Sacramento, and can't make it to the San Jose rally, please consider showing up to this one; here are the details:
Monday, December 9, 2013
—Press Conference and Rally at the Capitol
—Location: Starting in Room 112, moving to West Steps if needed

Re: Stop the Tunnels Rally
There is a front page article in today's LA Times that says DFW (DFG) has to sign off on the project, and they aren't convinced that it will do what it says it will. And the two major water districts who are behind the project are trying to get us taxpayers to subsidize their part of the project.
I like Jerry Brown, but he's wrong to support this.
