swimbaits in a pontoon boat

Post by mikereils »

has anyone fished with a swimbait or a-rig type rig from a pontoon boat? I have had one for about a year and recently just got a swimbait-a-rig rod setup but I am afraid to bring it because I feel it might be hard to throw with only your upper body? anybody shed any light on this situation?

Yes and yes.
It's not really any harder than tossing them from a boat just different mechanics. Your casting distance will likely be less since you are closer to the water, and you will need to make some minor adjustments but they work just as well from a kickboat as anywhere else.
If you want to get into some tournament fishing from your pontoon you should check out bass-n-tubes.com
