Brentwood and Oakley have the worst roads ever!
Working in the area and going to Russos has led me around the Brentwood/Oakley/Bethel Island area a lot. The roads stink! Boat trailer bouncing every where, pot holes every 10 ft. Sellers Rd. seems to be one of the smoother ones, but then you have the RR tracks! Can you guys pressure your elected officials to fix the roads before my boat flies off the trailer!

As long as they keep building more and more new homes and businesses it's likely the roads will be this way for a while to come.

Dave,
Funny you should mention this. As I was driving home last night
I hit what was probably my millionth pothole in the past few years
I got home a wrote my millionth complaint and fired it off to the city. I wondered out load to myself that it will just fall on deaf ears like all the others. I live off of Laurel and I like to use Orwood, but getting there with my boat still on the trailer is getting more difficult all the time. Like sTony said as long as the housing is still coming in they probably won't do a darn thing. Ironic thing is Oakley actually was given an award this past year for one of the cities with the best kept roads in the Bay Area, maybe this was someones idea of a JOKE.

The damage from semi-truck traffic needs to be addressed as well. They are bypassing Hwy 4 through Brentwood by using and abusing the narrow back roads. Our poor roads in and around Knightsen are DANGEROUS to drive with or without a boat strapped on. Many letters have been written to our Contra Costa Supervisor with no reply. I suppose the power doesn't rest with our small voter base.

AMEN!!! I told myself that I was going to cut down on my posting......BUT....this hit a nerve with me. "Voted the best keept roads in the bay area" I read that too! What a joke! I also live off Laurel and work in Discovery Bay. I drive a lifted F250 and cant even drink a cup of coffie in the morning without wearing it. Balfour is the worst! Except Cypress because on the building (Damn DR Horton
). I saw a 16 year old girl flip her car on Balfour last month. The shoulder had a 4" drop off on it and her tire went off it and piched her car sideways and flipped out into the feild! Luckly she was not hurt, but in the rain the water puddles up so bad on the shoulder that people have to go into the on comming lane to go around them! A head on waiting to happen! What is that e-mail address to the city????

Re: Brentwood and Oakley have the worst roads ever!
I'm with ya on the bad roads around Oakley and Brentwood, the sad fact is they are everywhere; even driving on I-80 near Fairfield and Vacaville is flat out dangerous!
The state and city governments always cry there are not enough funds to repair these hazards.
How many times have you seen seven to eight Cal-Trans or city workers patching a hole that actually requires one to two people to do?
Hey Mike try a feeding tube in your coffee they work!
