HDS question

I bought a boat that has 2 HDS flushmount one in the front and one on the consul when I turn them on they both say Gen2 on the screen...There is not structure scan on either one and I have a CD that came from Lowrance that says structure scan on it. Am I going to have to add a module or a new transducer to install structure scan? I am lost...thanks

Look on the back of the boat for an LSS transducer. You can also look under the dash or in the starboard rod locker for the LSS module. If you got the CD it might be there and just not turned on. Go into the System, Advanced menu and make sure Structure Scan is selected and turned on. Once on you will have a Structure Page and the option for multiple views. If you don't have it, yes you will need to purchase the LSS-2 HD system which comes with the transducer and module for about $599. You can find it cheaper than that by looking around.
