I have a Lowrance 37 on the front (moved from console after upgrade their) and at same time I installed new fourtrexx. And now I have interference when trolling motor is on. Ive heard I should ground trolling and cranking batteries together? Is their anyone who has solved this dilemma? It bugs me big time!!!
Is it an insulation thing around cable to transducer???
Ken help me!!
Thanks

Re: Lowrance interference
Install a ground wire from the trolling motor itself up the shaft to the ground wire for the direction indicator light. This should help the interference but the Fortrex motor gives out alot of "noise" that the receiver in the transducer pics up. This is not a problem with the Minn Kota Maxum Pro that I run but is for most of the Fortrex users. Something changed in the Fortrex causing the problem. I haven't upgraded my trolling motor because of the complaints and has made me content with my old Maxum Pro.
