Re: Replacing frog legs??
Well damn it's all out there on the world wide web....watched a short video....using a straightened paperclip with a small loop....insert thru one leg opening snag rubber legs push back thru (being careful not to tear frog body) release rubber legs from loop/continue pulling until knot on rubber strands is inside frog body between legs....just like that...a small pain but well worth the effort....surfk9

Re: Replacing frog legs??
I have gigged a ton of frogs and never once thought about replacing a set of legs for any them; just shows how selfish I must be!
Best I could say would be to make a little four wheel cart for the legless frog to put its little body on and pull itself around with its remaining front legs! lol
Couple good videos on youtube!

You need to be sure that the cart is ADA compliant.

Re: Replacing frog legs??
legs can be replaced with fiber composite blades and healthy dose of steroids . This should enable the frog to be a contender at the frog jump next year under the name "The blade jumper"

Hey Hydro,
Violent blow ups are the objective and going out on the lake and just murdering the bass could be fun!
One has to wonder what a frog is thinking as they swim, hop and jump from lily pad to lily pad and the cheese mats on that beautiful delta!
Do they have the thought process like we do when we are swimming in the ocean and thinking that a great white or( Mr. LM in their case) could blow up and eat us in one fell swoop! Ouch....
You would think that a frog psychologist could make a pretty good living just counseling the frogs and toads that make it out on a daily basis; I would love to hear the near miss stories straight from the frogs mouth! lol
But I guess someone would lock us up if they caught us talking to the frogs. Huh

Re: Replacing frog legs??
George , The funniest frog story I ever read here was years ago on this site from a member who was experimenting making up his own frog attractant in an effort to make bass hold on longer after they sucked in the hollow plastic baits . He said his wife had come into the garage inquiring as to the where-abouts of the blender to which he explained he had it in the garage . She was curious what he was using it for so he explained he was grinding up frogs in it for his new real frog attractant . She let him keep the blender after that for experimentation and it was never allowed in the house again . Unfortunately he said his brilliant real frog attractant did not work and he had killed and mutilated a bunch of frogs for nothing .
He started explaining his next big theory about filling topwater frogs with frog urine to simulate a frightened frog urinating all over when frightened . Never heard how that one worked out?

Hey SurfK9, There is a small shop in the oak studded rolling hills North East of Carmel that is very good at these things. I think that it is called "D Lures". Pretty handy with these kind of things.
Good luck!!
