19.75 lber Mission Bass

Post by DB »

Just got off the phone with Gerry and he told me a lake local just weighed a 19.75 lber, per the marina scale. He said it was HUGE.

By the time the word had made it to Anaheim, it was 20lbs. Nice fish. Rick G.

OH THAT MAKES ME SICK :)~ But you know what, i know who caught her and no one deserves it more! This guy is out every day fishing and not just during the spawn! He's out at night in the rain in winter if need be. Now whats coming next? SD guys, we got some sticks in the house up here too !!!! If the record doesnt fall again this year, i am officially joining the chase full time 2007 if not sooner!! God i have to go kick my cat!!!!

WOW!!!....to even see or touch a fish that big was cool. We keep in touch via walkie talkie on the water.... when I get a motorola call from George saying..."Gerr, you gotta help me out", "meet me in the center of the lake".....I could tell the fish he caught was huge when he sounded that excited (George passes on anything under 10lbs). Then I looked into the livewell and almost started to laugh because it didn't even look real! must have been a foot wide! over 20 on his scale and 19.75 on the lakes scale. I've seen a couple "3-footers" already this year....and I wouldn't even be surprised if a WR came out of here. Congrats to a guy who deserved nothing less for his pure dedication on this lake!...Great job George!

George posted his favorite of the pics in the photo section.
I am so pumped that he finally stuck the toad he has been hunting for on LMV for 10 years. Talking with him this evening he said he is 99 percent certain this is the same fish he caught last year when it weighed 16-10. Three pounds in one year is amazing. His story of the day is even more amazing as Gerry can attest to.
Congrats partner on one hell of a catch!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I only have one word to say!!

DAYUMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!

IS the story of this fish posted ie what he caught it on? I'd think a swimbait would be his weapon of choice.

Damn George that fish looks pre-historic. Congrats, I know you've earned it. BMC got a 15? Now lets see what happens when the two of you roll up on a 20+lb. sighter. I can almost see Brian running the t-motor pulling his hair(singular) and bugging George on how he could get her in no time with "Thunder and Lightning"
