Old Bullards Bar Video

Post by Shifa33 »

Going through some old videos and found this one from a few years ago. This is a very rough draft but we no longer have the original footage so this is as good as its going to get! Hope you guys enjoy!!

For one my friends already have fished and known about Melonies for years and second you need to read and comprehend why I posted, I told the guys in the video who is which not my friends, to come to melonies and catch some real nice fish. You must be one of them guys who thinks melonies is your lil secret and no one can fish it. Melonies is one of the most well know lakes for spots and having the guys who made this video come up here and shoot one from melonies would be great for the lake to show its strength, which is producing quality fish. Now I apologize if your truthfully saying bring your friends up to melonies and beign serious but if your beign a smart a@@ I got news for you, melonies isn't a hidden gem!!

Easy Roscoe! Yes, I was being a bit of a smart a@@, but in jest of course! Ya got it a bit backwards. I'm being a bit sarcastic and encouraging you to talk up Melones in an attempt to keep Bullards a little more quiet. Bullards is actually a smaller lake, unlike Melones, and will eventually suffer from fishing pressure, especially if we don't get some water this winter. I recall a while back John C & Joe Bruce made a couple of pretty cool videos on Melones - looks like a really fun place, and very different from Bullards (might find 'em somewhere here on WB). Matt Allen at Tactical Bass also has some good pictures and video of Bullards spots - the true giants are friggin' mutant footballs.

Ok I see what you mean, I apologize. Melonies is a Great Lake to fish but is suffering due to drought. I work for a irrigation district and I hear it everyday from farmers about the situation. We need a good winter and a lot of snow. I tell ya what, if your ever considering fishing melonies hit me up and we can go stroke some nice spots together? Once again I apologize and I really enjoyed their video and would love to see a video like that made on melonies so people who don't get to fish it can see what it has to offer.

No worries at all Roscoe - all good. I may take you up on that offer, either later this year or early next year. I'm definitely a big fan of those giant spots - PB = 8.5 lbs. on a jig.
