Folsom Lake Tournament - March

Post by WB Staff »

From Ultimate Bass Radio:
Here is the flyer for the Vista Del Lago High School Fishing Club at Folsom Lake on March 8th. Let's help them with some boaters you can win $300 in with the boaters big fish and launch for free. If you know a couple high school students get them to team up and get signed up. They need about 7 more teams!

Luke has done a great job putting this tournament together. We need to do everything we can to encourage high schoolers to get involved.

Looks like the young anglers are starting to get serious. The El Dorado Bass club is supporting a Ponderosa High School tournament at Folsom on Sunday, March 8th as well.

Their club has 20 members, we plan to support them with 10 boats. Sounds like it's going to be a competitive day on Folsom.

We may also be looking for additional boats to support the Ponderosa club. Please reply to this post if interested.

I wish this wasn't the same weekend as our FPT classic.... Folsom is my home lake and would love to get out there with the kids and have a blast. Luke has been coming out to the Folsom Bass Team meetings working hard on setting this up! Good luck Luke! Hope it goes well!

It was a great turnout, there were 37 boats, and kids from Fresno to sac, 11 n change took the top spot. Over all the bite was a little tough but they all had fun it was a great time. Its amazing how many great people came out to participate, from parents that are dedicated enough to drive their kids halfway across the state to the many boaters who volunteer their time and money to get kids on the water to all the people who donated prizes and food to Bill and the gang from Ctt to run it and a shout out to Jody for putting it all together, these kids are serious about their fishing and I think you will see these type of events get bigger and bigger, there is one coming up in April on the delta, details should be on the SAF website soon. See you there!
