I want to know how he disposes of the 'old' hooks?
I don't like throwing them in the trash, as is; they are dangerous.
I try to file down the point and bend it over as much as I can, before I throw them away.

Anybody got a good, safe solution for disposing of old hooks?

i keep an old package from a past set of trebles and store the old ones in that package, when i can't fit any more, i'll tape it up so it can't pop open and then throw it away.
