Post by W.C »

I would like to know length and action and why in your opinion it's important. Is the iron any good? Thinking of getting a couple
Any info would be greatly appreciated. .

Bubs punch rod by I Rod. Bub is the punch King and designed that rod specifically for punching thick cover on any lake but really excels on the delta. I Rod is a great rod company and has lifetime warranty no matter what, you can call Matt Newman directly and he will help you. For the price and the craftsmanship of that Rod you defitinitly get your money's worth.

Thanks Rosco, I didn't think anyone was going to respond for a minute there. I guess I will pick me up a couple of those I Rods than for punching. Was hoping for more information about what other rods are out there but seem everyone is a little tight lipped. Thanks thow

No problem brother, I wouldn't steer you wrong. There's many good rods out there but when you factor in price, quality, and just plain out the best rod for that particular type of fishing there is no better. If you look at the classifieds sometimes you can find used ones for 100$ but I like to buy mine brand new. The whole line of I rod is terrific. They have particular rods for whatever your fishing. Fred's magic stick is great and I love their flippin stick. I'm not sponsored by them but I fish on a budget and for the price versus other top rod brands you can't beat it. Buy one and you won't be disappointed. Good luck bro.

haven't fished a better rod for punching and flippin as the Bubs Punch Rod by IROD as well... fantastic rods and the price point is amazing! YOu can buy two or three of them for the price of those other punch rods!

I really like the Okuma TCS Mat Daddy and the Powell 7105 for punching. For the $, the TCS is tough to beat. Fishermans Warehouse in Manteca currently has a couple 7105s marked down. Good luck.
