We feel the qouge!! Don't forget Alaska and Mexico; we can pump them first and when no one buys Mid East Gas, the price will drop.

Hope you see you up at the Lake soon. I may go truant and go on Sunday. Want to try some spinners and cranks. I have been taking others and they all practice "random casting". LOL

...but I'll keep it short and to the point:

When have a sh*tload of crude oil (and, as such, gasoline) readily available to us right here in the United States (in Alaska and off of the California coast), but the flaming libs have buffaloed the public into believing that drilling for it will destroy the environment. This is B.S., as we now have the technology to drill for it safely and cleanly. Sure, there are always risks of accidents, but nothing like in the past.

Either we continue to pay ever increasing amounts of money for foreign oil, or we cut them off completely and drill for and use our own at a significantly lower cost. Unfortunately, the major oil companies are the ones that are lobbying the liberals to prevent this from happening. It would destroy them (although China would LOVE for this to happen - more and cheaper oil for them).

The bottom line is that, either we shut up and continue to pay insane amounts for foreign oil, or we drill for and refine our own, thus cutting the price and cutting OPEC out of the picture entirely; but we can't have it both ways.

I'm done now.

Long, but interesting read about increasing fuel economy by nearly 20 percent.
