I would think you could just go to a welding shop and have a patch put on or maybe even make a replacement cross brace. OR, contact the trailer mfg and order a new rear piece, then take it to a welding shop.

Thanks for the reply, I was thinking same about wielding it.

That would work. Add a piece on both sides and then clean the rust and use Zinc Chromate as a primer then a good paint over. I'd use an Epoxy Paint. Lowes or Home Depot would have it.
