Casitas ramp

Post by WRB »

The 1 lane steel plate ramp at Casitas in the marina will be moved to Coyote area on Monday,
It looks like a single lane with turn around area to luanch and parking about 1/4 mile away....fishing alone that isn't going work!

I called them today and they said everyone is still launching at the main ramp on the metal plates.

Any updates on this move? Parking 1/4 mile away isn't ideal by any means.

I decided to leave after talking to the workers building the new ramp at Coyote and the staff saying Monday was moving day. To give you some idea the new ramp is about 100 yards across from the NW corner of big island. There was a crane laying plates and putting a dock in last Friday. I was told parking will on the old ramp below the newer concrete ramp and this is over a 1/4 mile away.
PM your email and I will send photos.
The fishing is very good at Casitas and didn't want to leave.

No ramps open at Casitas now. It's rental boats or slipped boats only.

Guess they are waiting on materials to fix the Coyote ramp. No ETA as to when it will be open again.

Heard that towing rigs were getting stuck in the mud and had to be pulled out, glad I bailed out when I did.
