Looking for a Reliable Motor Rebild Shop
I have a 2007 Yamaha EFi 225. It has about 450 hours on it. 3 months ago #2 cylinder overheated and melted the spark plug. The shops in Las Vegas I'd trust to do the work will only do a complete powerhead rebuild. All other cylinders read out at 125lbs. I was hoping to find a reliable shop to rebore the scored cylinder and replace the reeds and injector. I'd trailer the Skeeter to Arizona or California. Any suggestions?

Just an observation from working on car motors too many years ago.
If you rework only one cylinder, even if the others test out good, they are 450 hours old, and the unbalanced load from the newer cylinder may cause them to die, too.
That's why we always rebored all the cylinders when we rebuild engines. Same with heads and valves.
I'm guessing that's why you're having a hard time finding someone to do just one.
Just too many headaches from trying to cut corners, and you'll probably wind up paying again, sooner or later.
