So many frogs!!! What to do???

Post by GITBIT »

Cleaned out my old frogs and sold them all on ebay. I want to purchase new frogs. Would like some of your opinions on what to buy. There are a lot more companies selling frogs now. Went on to Tackle Warehouse and became overwhelmed with all the choices. If you could buy 5-10 new frogs, what would you buy. Please indicate company and color.

Thanks in advance,

Mike

I personally just bought (havent even got them yet) some of the new 3:16 frogs off their website....they were on Basscenter last week and look awesome. I like the Dean Rojas frog as well as swamp donkeys-both outlast the others.

3:16 Frogs are SWEET :P but they will last about 20 casts  ....Very Very Soft plastic. TOOO soft in my opinion. I havent had a fish take one yet..but I already ruined one..just by casting it! I fixed it with PRO Soft glue..but it tore up again...kinda like a mission fish... anyways...go with River2Sea. they are VERY NICE! but upgrade the hook to a bigger one...because I noticed that the hook points dig into the sides of the frog..and Im worried that it will ruin a good hook set. also as with all frogs.. cut 1/2- 3/4in of the legs off to get them to Walk just insanely well.. done right you can walk the frog IN place.

Peace

I try to keep it simple. On a day to day basis you can not beat Snag Proof frogs. Natural green and black will work anywhere frogs roam. I do play with the Zoom horny toad and will give River2Sea a try. Bill K :)
Fun fishing the country, each and every week.
