FPT Classic venue location change

Classic Qualifiers....

Due to the current situation at Lake Oroville and the surrounding areas, the decision was made by our tournament competition committee members to move the 2016-17 Coors Light Future Pro Tour Classic event to an alternate location.

The event has been moved to Folsom Lake - on the same days (March 10-12th), and will follow the same - 3-day elimination style format as before, where no more than 100 teams will participate for the first two days, with only the top 15 teams moving on to the final day - which will also be at Folsom Lake.

And for those of you that don't know...

The bite on Folsom Lake in mid-march can be outstanding, and the current water levels are good. In addition, the area's infrastructure (hotels restaurants, tackle stores etc.) are plentiful and conducive to hosting anglers coming from outside of the greater Sacramento area.

We apologize for any inconvenience this change may have caused, but in the interest of both the Oroville community and our anglers, we felt that is was the best choice for all concerned.

For information regarding accommodations near Folsom Lake please visit the Future Pro Tour website at futureprotour.net. If you have questions about the Classic event or to get registered for it, please call the FPT offices at: 916.768.0938

Good call Vince

With the issues at Oroville, Clear Lake close for the next 60 days and the Delta due to close at anytime, you had very few choices left.

With all of the amenities in the area around Folsom, it had all the makings of a heavy weight slug fest.

Does anyone know of any boat friendly lodging in the folsom lake area. Mainly for charging batteries and is somewhat safe. Not having much luck so far. Thanks in advance.

Take a look st the hotels/motels in Rocklin around Hwy 80 and Rocklin Rd. You're ten minutes from the lake, 5 minutes from Bass Pro Shops and there's plenty of restaurants in that area.

As for boat friendly, you might have to look towards the Best Western in Roseville on Harding and run your extension cord from your room. Again, ten minutes from the lake and plenty of food places

Hey guys & gals, just a reminder.....

EVEN WITH THE VENUE CHANGE, PER THE CLASSIC RULES, FOLSOM LAKE WILL BE OFF LIMITS FROM MONDAY, FEBRUARY 26TH UNTIL MONDAY, MARCH 6TH AND YOU CANNOT SOLICIT INFORMATION FROM ANYONE WHO IS NOT COMPETING IN THE CLASSIC.

Don't want to see anyone get DQ'ed because they forgot these two rules
