Delta Closures and Restrictions Still in Place as of March 14

Post by WB Staff »

San Joaquin Office of Emergency Services released this statement today with the same map that has been out since March 2nd.

These are the current Delta River and Slough Closures (as of March 14, 2017):
As of this notice all Rivers and other South Delta waterways highlighted on the map below remain closed to recreational boating traffic (with some exceptions) until further notice by the San Joaquin County, Office of Emergency Services.

By phone they said...

Coast Guard, Fish and Game and Sheriff Boats should be enforcing this until it is lifted.

A ban on boating in San Joaquin County is affecting people who use the waterways for business. But, the county’s office of emergency services said protecting levees is important.
