Delta 1 man ramp

Post by firebass911 »

What is the best ramp to use if you are launching by yourself? Quickest way to get there also(from 80/I-5). Unless anyone looking for a backseat on Tues. Thank you.

BandW is a good ramp for solo launching, so is Brannon Island. Paradise can be a little tricky at times unless your seasoned at solo launching a trailering the boat afterward.

BandW and Brannon Island are both along Highway 12. But with Brannon Island, you have to go down 160 south for a bit.

Stay away from Wimpy's and New Hope. Very tricky with the strong current. (Thornton Road).

I've had good success at Orwood and River's End launching solo but unfortunately, they're both a little far from I-5. I agree Paradise can be tricky on your own sometimes.

Hey bud, I can't fish on Tuesday, but PM me with your location and time and maybe I can meet up to at least help you launch - I'll be heading to Sacto anyway so let me know. I'd be happy to help you if I can!

I also launch solo
What kind of problems are you having?
I have never had a problem but if you tell me yours it might save me a little grief one day

New hope is no problem with the current. Wimpy has a strong current going by and a pain. Both places charges $10

I used to launch solo at Ladd's in stackton all the time when I lived out there. If you're going on the weekend try to get there early. That place can be a zoo...

I fish alone quite a bit and have launched solo at Ladds, Wimpys, B and H, and Louis Park. I have not had a major problum at any of them. I like B and H the best, but I luanch out of Louis Park more often because it is free. I can be a zoo on weekends, but so can most places.

Launch out of Louis park at your own risk as there has been problems with theft and ect.
