Post by surfk9 »

Have never launched from here...just curious as to the safety of leaving truck & trailer for the day...have heard mixed "rumors" of incidents involving safety issues...any help would be appreciated...thanks, Michel

Never had a problem at that place in 10 years of fishing during the week. Always felt safe. Ramp not to steep. Maintance people of the Marina are always driving around the parking cleaning things and putting envelopes on your windshield if you forgot to pay the launch fee in the morning. Haha.

x2...

Been launching there for 10 + years as well... never an issue. Plenty of parking, room enough to launch 3 boats at once, plenty of dock space... the guy is constantly around the lot on the golf cart and has his house at the East corner of the lot. Can get a little busy at ramp if there's an event going out of there plus normal "good weather" boaters at the end of the day.
You should be totally fine..

It's family owned and they live on site. Never had an issue. My only advice is no matter how tempting it is, don't park under a tree. The birds will poop all over your truck.

We just launched out of there last Thurs (not busy at all just a few boats launching) it was my first time launching from there and i must say it was a very nice place easy ramp to launch from and had a 2 long docks on each side to tie up to imo a bit easier than Russo's but not as big/wide as Orwood.

Didn't have any issues with parking my truck there all day even under the tree (lol luckily no poop truck!)

One thing to note is that i did make sure to pay the $5 extra car parking fee for the day and good thing i did knowing now that the owner cruises around and checks on things there!

I'm from Fremont so typically launch from the more southern marinas but was meeting my boater @ B&W

I would def. launch there again but coming from where i am sucks due to the toll bridge which could add up with a tandem axle trailer.....

Does anyone besides me have issues with the gradual slope of the ramp at Tiki Lagun? I dislike it so much I opted for the curved ramp at Turner Cut.

I have never had my rig broken into at B&W. However, I did return one day from fishing to find a big dent in my truck bed (one day after I bought the truck). Judging from the height of the dent, my guess was that someone tagged it with their boat on a trailer on the way out of the parking lot.
