The 7th annual Yamamoto BIG BASS Challenge is coming!!

Post by AnglersPress »

There is nothing more exciting than to be sitting in one of the five “money chairs” at the end of one of the 6 hours during the Yamamoto Big Bass Challenge.

With the first chair being worth up to $500 dollars, and the last chair representing twice the daily entry fee, all anglers – of every skill level, will have the opportunity to enjoy some BIG FUN and rack up some BIG CASH every hour, for 6 hours, for two days.

It is often said that the Yamamoto Big Bass Challenge is bass fishing's version of "Texas Hold Em' poker in that you never know which hour will be the most beneficial for you to bring in your big bass - and get paid. But that's EXACTLY what makes the event so much fun!

And for this year, the cash prizes assigned to the chairs will be guaranteed!

That simply means that the size of the prize for each chair will not be adjusted based on the size of the field – but will be posted and guaranteed, thanks to Elk Grove Ram one of the event’s title sponsors!

I wonder how many people like myself had reservations and plans for June 3-4th?
Then last min they change the dates?
Good Ol Vince always screws this event up:(
Want to fish one day? It's 75$ right, well there's a 25$ fee associated with that and a 10$ late fee.
This is supposed to be a fun family event but it's been ruined and tainted.
Sorry Mr. Yamamoto but we're not fishibg it anymore. And I've fished it for many many years.

So that everyone has the real scoop regarding the date change for the YBBC event, and other items mentioned in this post please know that:

The date for the YBBC was supposed to be June 24-25th , but by mistake, it was posted as June 3-4th. About five weeks ago, when the mistake was discovered, we notified everyone to the best of our abilities, with every media tool at our disposal, about the error, offering sincere apologies for any inconvience it may have caused.

It was a simple error - no more - no less, as we are only human, and at times get our wires crossed.

Regarding the $25 additional fee..., this has NEVER existed in the 10 years we have been hosting the Big Bass Challenges – including the Berkley Big Bass Challenges, so that is simply a false statement.

A $10 fee for late sign-ups is charged, but late fees are customary with any event and with any organization.

We are looking forward to bringing another great Big Bass event to the delta and hope you can all join in on the fun!
