Navionics chip question

Postby steve black » Sat Feb 24, 2018 11:50 am

I have a Hook 9 that I bought on 05/16 that came with a Nav plus chip. I let my yearly subscription expire due to the fact I planned on up grading to the new Hook 9 2 which I just purchased 2 units at the beginning of the month. My question is , are there any reasons why that the old chip would not work in the new unit. Ive got good maps that Ive up graded and down loaded while I was on the yearly subscription. I was told wrong info that the new units would come with a new chip but they didn't, so now Ive got to spend at least another $200 to have one at the console work.
Secondly does Lowrance ever put the Navionics on sale, maybe I could wait.
Thanks for any info, fingers crossed
Steve

Yes the loder card will work in the your new HOOK2 but because your subcription is over there is certain functions that won't work like: being able to create your own map live on the screen (SonarChart Live), fishing depht highlight and maybe one other thing that just skip my memory.
You can renew your subscrition online for $99.
