Ikeda & Nodohara Take Home The Tequila & $1,708.00 at Berryessa Bass Tournaments

Teams pre-fished through the rain and rain storm of the year and 40 Teams fished the Sixth event of the Pasote Tequila & Berryessa Bass Tournaments Circuit for the 2017-2018 Season that was on April 8, 2018 and hosted out of Markley Cove. TOC and AOY race is getting interesting! We had a warm, clear & safe blast off with four flights, including 5 youth teams! Felt like a real Spring day. The lake is still fishing really well with fish in full spawn mode! In the Youth Division, First Place with 17.08lbs went to Steve Chapell & Luke Mustard. In Second Place, Dario Fernandes & Gavin Cohen weighed a sack of 14.77lbs. In Third Place, Steve & Joe Rosen weighed in 14.12lbs. The large mouth are still a still acting a little funny after the storm passed through with rising water. They seemed to have stayed suspended. Teams did report of catching 40 plus fish. Most teams had reported that they had caught a lot of males, and the weights reflected it. Water temps rose into the 58-60 plus degree range with the water rising and still fairly clear! Teams reported catching their fish on Reaction baits, Tubes, Shaky head, Drop Shot, and Senkos. Most teams are fishing all over the lake in spawning areas! First Place went to Steve Ikeda & Vernon Nodohara with a nice sack that weighed 19.22lbs and was anchored with a 4.93lb kicker. Second Place went to Mark Peters & Steve Alvarado who brought in a sack that weighed 19.03lbs and with a 4.79lb kicker. Third Place went to Steve Chapell & Luke Mustard with a sack that weighed 17.08lbs. With a Fourth Place finish, John Garrett & Tony Vaughn weighed in 16.91lbs. and had a 4.63lb kicker. In Fifth Place, a sack of 16.78lbs was weighed in by Dan Sweat & Jody Jordan. Sixth Place went to Ron Moore & Steve Kendrick with a sack of 16.61lbs and a 6.05lb kicker for 1st Place Big Fish. Seventh Place went to John Bounds & Preston Henson with 15.45lbs. Greg Bunting & Kevin Yost weighed in a kicker of 5.60lbs for 2nd Place Big Fish and a sack that weighed 15.43lbs for Eighth Place. Matt Hamilton & Scott Smith weighed in 15.37lbs for Ninth Place. Chris Franks & Tony Gillotti weighed in 15.26lbs for Tenth Place.
