Couple ways, wine corks, grated with fine cheese grater mixed with outdoor wood gkue. Smear it all on, let it dry and sand with 200 grit sandpaper, then seal it. Or, Homec Depot, Wood/Cork filler in a tube. Same idea, put it on thick, let it dry, sand it and seal it.

Maybe I'll do both, repair the damage and then wrap it. Think this was due to cheap cork or not taking care of it?

Isn't wood glue water soluble? Might get sticky when it gets wet!Viking wrote:Couple ways, wine corks, grated with fine cheese grater mixed with outdoor wood gkue. Should I be sealing all my cork handles with something?

U40 Cork Seal, clean them all, then seal them all. Protects the cork, cleans much easier. Only drawback is it slightly darkens the cork. Do them when they're new and they last much longer, but even when they're old, just clean em then seal em!

Thats not cork baby!
Cut it all off, sand glue off blank. Buy a real cork rear grip from Mudhule. Ream it to fit over the blank and up to the seat. You may need to build a bit of an arbor with tape near the seat.
Glue in place. Done.
