Enclosed Boat Trailer

Post by ACRon »

I am looking for a source for an enclosed boat trailer. I am tired of my Triton sitting out in the weather with only the fabric cover.

My homeowners association doesn't allow awnings or tent type coverage in our RV Lot. I only pay $13 a month for the storage but my boat is taking a beating. Help.

Manuel, Right idea but now I need it to be enclosed over the top. I have seen them on the road and on TV but can't seem to find any.

Your right Sooner looks interesting. I am hoping after the weekend some of the guys who have used or seen them will chip in. All of the discussions I find online are old. It's hard to believe this is the only brand out there.

Here's one from pace american

I know Korny used to have one a while back. He is at the Rally at Texas this weekend and should be back here in a week or so.

Sooner looks good. Saw one back in the 80's. thought they had quit building them. Did'nt see them on Sooners website. Only problem I saw with them was acess to the boat while in the trailer, would be nice if sides folded up for driveby weighins and washing. One I saw was early 80's may have changed by now.

The fully enclosed that looks like a cargo trailer is the style I was looking for.

So far I have found leads on a Sooner out of Oklahoma and Pace out of Arizona. I need to check and see if they are still being built. Would love some more sources and/or peoples experiences.

If memory serves me correctly one of the Bennett brothers had a fully enclosed trailer. He could launch and had decent access to his boat even while it was inside. A great plus was all the sponser space it gave him to advertise.

in Washington. They had several ProStaff guys fishing enclosed trailers a couple years back. They could point you in the right direction.

I spoke with Pace American Trailer today. They do make an enclosed boat trailer, its not on their web site, any Pace American dealer can get it for you . I will be going to BC Trailer sales today checking price. Thats the closest dealer[ Ripon] to me. Called the dealer they didnt know Pace made an enclosed boat trailer. I guess you cant sell'em if you dont know they make'm.

I'm curious how they're constructed ... on the bottom that is. On one hand they have to have openings to let the water out. But that would reduce the ridgitity of the enclosure ... interesting ... I'd be interested to see pictures of the bottom if anyone has them.
