What is the most important attribute of fishing for you? I always take my favorite blanket with me and without it I don’t even want to go. And you?)

Good question ,
Memories of my grandfather teaching me how to catch Walleyes , Pike and catfish . Then teaching my son bass fishing .
Lastly , as an ole guy , fishing always brings me a peace and joy . Catching them really good is a bonus .

Attribute as in something inherent with fishing would be everything from buying tackle, boats, lures and getting all the stuff ready to use. Quite time spent on the water with family and freinds.
Planning fishing trips be it bass fishing or any other fishing trip. Learning the behavior or both the fish and their prey. Putting it all together and having a good day or night on the water.
On rare occasions passing something meaningful on to fellow anglers.

For me, it's like hunting, but I don't have to kill anything. Same thrill of the stalk and execution, solving the problem.
But,as my friend Ben says, "I'm just not that mad at the bass anymore", so I find going fishing is fulfilling all by itself.

Could it be you no longer drive I 5 to Castiac and greeted to boom box music from the wake boarders as the sun rises

it's about the quality time with nature and perhaps the guy in the boat spending the day(s) trying to coax our aquatic friends to take the bait. Without my vast selection of gear I would not know what to do cause i'm always trying something new.
