Our first tournament of the season was a huge succes; thank you to all that fished. The first place team of Jim Malm and Joe Eviott came to the scales with the winning weight of 21.42 for a ten fish limit, and took home $1,000 for their effort. They also had a 2.68 pound kicker, winning them $500 for big fish. Not a bad return for a $70 investment. Second place was the team of Dave Burruss and Nathan Phillips, with a weight of 21.06 pounds, winning $800. Paul Kinney and Scott Gauthier took third place with 20.36 pounds, winning $500. Fourth place winners were Jay Strugnell and Scott Strugnell with 20.34 pounds for a $400 payday, and in fifth place were Herbert Cornwell and Dale Patton with 19.85 pounds, winning $300. The winner of the Dobyns Specially Designed "Clearlake Crappie Rod" for the Husband/Wife division was Allan and Karen Grossman; and in the Junior Division (under 16 yrs. of age) was Brody Carrington. Thanks to Gary Dobyns for these special prizes. This was a 100% payout, with a $60 entry fee. All entry fees were paid out at the ramp, during the award ceremony. We had a 100% live release on all fish weighed in. Our next tornament will be February 23rd, and will be held in Lakeport. We just found out the name on an entry form had an incorrect last name. The correct names for the first place team are Joe Everett and Jim Malm. Congratulations on their impressive weight of 21.42 pounds, and a big fish of 2.68 pounds.
