CVKF Regular Season Opener on Eastman 3/3/19

Central Valley Kayak Fishing (CVKF) will be hosting their regular season opener on Eastman Lake on Sunday, 3/3/19. This first event of the season should be an interesting one. Rain is in the forecast for Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, and possibly Sunday this week. The lake is nearly full and there should be a lot of water flowing in. This event is a Tournament of Champions (TOC) qualifier. The top 15 anglers at the end of the regular season will qualify to fish the TOC on Salt Springs Valley Reservoir (SSVR) on 10/6/19 for a chance to win a new kayak.

Check-ins will start at 5:30 AM at the Codorniz ramp on the east side of the lake. Fishing will begin between 6:30 and 7:00 AM (safe light). Weigh-ins will begin 8 hours later in the parking lot above the ramp area. Cash, prizes, and some serious bragging rights will all be up for grabs.

The field is limited to 30 anglers and it's not too late to sign up. If you are in the Fresno area, you can sign up in person at Valley Rod & Gun in Clovis. If you are traveling in from out of the area, please contact Brigham Vang via email at brighamvang@hotmail.com.
