Soft swimbaits any suggestions
Soft swimbaits any suggestions
Looking to fill up on some swimbaits. Any suggestions on soft body line thru top hook swimbaits 7 8 or 9 inch. All I've got are Huds. Looking for something different
Re: Soft swimbaits any suggestions
I use the osprey in both the top hook and line thru. I use the top hook when creeping bottom and love the line through in the smaller versions to rolling under docks
Re: Soft swimbaits any suggestions
Savage gear line thru gets good reports, not my choice I have dozens of Hudds not being used do to lack of trout plants in SoCal.

Optimum Baits line through and Top Hook - That osprey top hook is a good one as well and has a tighter tail action vs body roll the Optimum baits have.

Re: Soft swimbaits any suggestions
3:16 Mission Fish was the 1st line thru soft swimbait and still works good. 3:16 Raising Sun uses the same line thru design as the Mission Fish and is available up to 8". Optimum Osprey is line thru is basically the Eagle swimbait and getting a hook set with a big gum ball style swimbait isn't easy even with a line thru treble hook IMO. Butch Brown's 10 top hook works good.
Good luck,
