WOW, what an exciting weigh-in! First, a 9.74lb Pig gets weighed in the first flight, then a 11.19lb Mammoth comes to the scale in the last flight! Thanks to the 39 Teams that fished the 6th event of the Pasote Tequila & Berryessa Bass Tournaments Circuit that was on March 10, 2019 and hosted out of Markley Cove. The rain was falling through check-in, but stopped for blast off! We had a sunny warm weigh-in! The lake is full, the Glory Hole is flowing, and the Bass seem to be on the 1st spawning wave, or maybe even 2nd spawning wave! Most of the teams struggled for a big bite all day, but a few teams got their kicker! Most teams reported catching their fish in 5 – 15 feet of water. Water temps are down into the low 50’s range with the water clarity slightly murky tan/green, especially after the rain and winds again. Top weights are getting better, but overall in the 13-14lb range. Teams reported catching their fish on Jigs again. Most teams were fishing all over Main Body of the lake and the Narrows. First Place went to Ron and Lesa Tobey with a great sack and a giant kicker! Their sack weighed 20.29lbs and was anchored with a 11.19lb Giant kicker for 1st Place Big Fish and an extra $100 for Pasote Tequila 10lbs or over Big Bass! Biggest bass in the history of Berryessa Bass Tournaments. Second Place went to Curtis and Mark Howard who brought in a nice sack that weighed 18.12lbs and a 5.38lb kicker. Third Place went to Joe Mariani and Luke Lipanovich with a sack that weighed 17.84lbs and 2nd Place Big Fish kicker that weighed 9.74lbs! With a Fourth Place finish, Kelly Oward weighed in 16.06lbs. In Fifth Place, Jody Jordan and Dan Sweat came in with a sack weighing 15.28lbs. Steve Chappell and Luke Mustard weighed in a 13.85lb sack for Sixth Place. In Seventh Place was Richard Dobyns and Justin Evans with 13.79lbs. Eighth Place was Mike Nichelini and Carl Keller with a 13.44lb bag. Ninth Place was Cesar Laguna and David Poteras with 13.36lbs. First out of the Money with a $100 River2Sea Certificate was Gary Okusako and Dave Symmons with 13.31lbs. Next tournament Sunday 4/14/19! Also, the 6/15/19 Tournament has been changed to 6/9/19.
