Fisher marine livewell

Anybody ever have a problem with a 2005 fisher marine boat livewell not starting to pump water in after setting for a while.

No idea how yours is plumbed but on my Crestliner if I do not use the livewell for a long period of time or if I turn it on with the intake above the water line (on plane or on the trailer) the pump will run but not pump water the next time I turn it on (on the water). Sometimes the pump will go ahead and self prime and sometimes I need to open the pump up and let the air out then it works fine. On the Crestiner I just twist the top of the pump open a little (just like you would to replace it) and water will start flowing then I just close it back up. Basically I just burp a little air out of the system. (I do this while on the water) This works if you have a replaceable cartridge type pump. Other than that it could be clogged with debris or just a bad pump.

This is only a problem once or twice a year but it can happen.

Ok thanks I will try that next time mine does this haven’t thought about doing that
