Limp line

Post by milehi »

Been using trilene xl forever, seems like it's not as limp as it used to be? Maybe the fact I'm older than dirt has something to do with it but is there something else out there?

Im still running Trilene Sensation is a great line that is limp and has served me well. I also started spraying down my line with a line conditioner before and after each trip. Takes a few seconds to do and helps keep the memory down and increase castability.

Sunline Shooter Defier nylon is one of the limpest nylon lines out there. You pay a crazy premium price for its handling capabilities. Most people won't pay that high of a price for mono in the U.S., therefore I heard that Sunline may be taking it off of the USDM market. A good alternative is the Sunline Super Natural nylon. It is still pretty limp, but a lot less expensive.
The lines with less stretch aren't going to be as limp. Sunline Defier Armilo is one of those nylon/copolys with less stretch.
The finesse fluoros are quite limp also, but they, like most soft nylons, have too much stretch for bottom contact baits in my opinion.

If you're looking for a soft and limp line, I'd check out Seaguar InvizX.
